My fav eye brushes

Left to right:

  1. Sonia Kashuk Bent eyeliner brush (I have 4-5 of these): apply gel liner
  2. Ecotools Angled brush: any really. I dont like anything particular much about this brush. I use this to fill in my brows using powder eyeshadow
  3. Laura Mercier Smoky eyeliner brush: Absolutely must have if you like to do smokey eyes.
  4. MAC 222 (DCed): Unfortunately, I just found out that this brush was discontinued. I love it to apply a precise crease. Don't use it for everyday
  5. MAC 217: I have 2-3 of these. When I travel I take only this brush. I use it to apply shadow to my lid, crease work for everyday/
  6. MAC 227: When I am in a rush, I just this to apply a beige powder eyeshadow all over my eye, under browbone etc to hide the darkness
  7. Crown brush round angled stippler: I dont put any product on it. I primarily use it to blend out my crease
  8. MAC 224: to blend concealer

What are you fav eye brushes?

Love of the week: Oilatum Natural Repair Face

I bought this product on my trip to London last year in Oct. I have been using it non strop since then. I am about to finish my second tube. I have tried many many moisturizers in the US, and while they come close, this product is perfection for sensitive, dry, acne prone skin.

It wears beautifully under foundation, and there is no flaking or peeling for the foundation.

You can buy it from ebay, or here. Please note, I am not affiliated with the website, I just truly love the product. I really wish this brand would come to the US.

My fav physical scrubs

I got the Freeman one from Sally's (I think). It was less than $10. The beads as super fine. I dissolve a couple of uncoated asprin tablets to make it scrubbier, and add AHA as well.

I got the Papaya Peeling Scrub (the face shop brand), and Black Sugar Mask (from the Skinfood brand) from Seoul. Both are just lovely! I use the Papaya one when I need just a light exfoliation, and the Black sugar one when I need deep exfoliation.

My fav cleansing oils

Both products are from Hong Kong unfortunately. I have not found an affordable cleansing oil in USA. The Neutrogena one is nice, but I prefer the Softymo more since it's a bit more emollient.

I tried the Face Shop one, but it stings my eyes :( I DONT recommend this one.

Love of the week: MAC MSF Natural

This review is for MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural. I use the shade Medium Plus to set the concealer under my eyes. I use this product in the shade Medium Dark on my face.

It retails for $30. It's a lovely finely milled face powder. The powder looks matte in the pan, but I think since it's "baked" and has minerals, it gives a nice soft sheen on the skin. It provides very low coverage, so its perfect as a setting powder. I carry it in my purse to touch up my foundation throughout the day.

Urban Decay Primer Potion Review

Hi everyone, I would like to introduce the best eyeshadow primer ever. It's called URBAN DECAY PRIMER POTION, otherwise known as UDPP. Sounds familiar? I just made my purchase on an Urban Decay Primer and will be doing a video on it. I also received a Urban Decay Eyeshadow Transforming Potion too. I won't go into details because I will be doing a review on it. STAYED TUNED!

Eyeshadow Primer Potion

This miracle eyeshadow primer is unmatched by any other in the beauty industry! The genie in this bottle fulfills three wishes: eyeshadow that lasts, more vibrant and lasting color, and absolutely NO creasing. Apply Primer Potion to lids before shadow application. It dries down almost instantly ( and invisibly ), creating smooth lids that are super powered eyeshadow magnets.

The formula is full of silicone, which you beauty mavens know makes for a smooth and silky application. Packaged in a pretty genie bottle, our Potion applies with a magic wand and flocked applicator.

Tips: A little goes a long way! Apply a thin coat and let dry, then apply Eyeshadow as you normally would. Then DARE it to crease. (Double-dog dare it, even!)
Fill Weight: 10ml e 0.34 US fl. oz.

Price: $16.00

India haul - skincare and haircare products

Here are a few things I picked up from my trip to India. I was just not drawn to any new cosmetics since I got a few Lakme items when my relative visited me in Oct, and I was very under-whelmed by them :(

I am a huge Biotique fan. Their products are all natural, affordable, and very effective!!  As I am getting older, my hair is thinning out a lot. One of the Indian hairstylists that I visited recommended I try bhringraj oil, so I bought a few different brands. I have finished the Dabur one, and I enjoyed it tremendously.

My hair fell out in clumps the first few times I massaged my hair with oil, but the hair fall stopped eventually. The oil eventually has even reduced my hair fall further. To be honest, I dont know if its the oil itself or the regular hair massage. I use it every weekend, and leave it on overnight.

Dabur's Bhringraj Oil

Loving them all! I add a few drops of rosemary and peppermint essential oils to coconut oil for hair massage

I bought the Neutrogena cleansing oil on my stopover in the Hong Kong airport

Love of the week: Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer

I really wanted to love the MAC Pro-longwear concealer. I have dry skin under my eyes but everything creases! For most people this concealer does not crease, while it did not on me either, it was way too dry for me. It magnifies the "chicken skin" texture under my eyes.

So after trying a ton of different products I found Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer!  I use this product in the shade Medium.

I still need to set it with powder. I either use the Ben nye one or MAC MSF Natural in Medium Plus. But the result is awesome! No creasing - just looks flawless all day.

I highly recommend it!!!
